Libby Brock, 80, of Inverness dies
By Larken Bradley
Longtime Inverness weekender and summer resident, Elizabeth "Libby" Brock, died in Petaluma on Friday, Nov. 22, of complications from emphysema. She was 80.
Mrs. Brock began visiting Inverness in the late 1940s with her then-husband, Bill Brock. The couple eventually bought a home in First Valley known as The Witchery, which they later sold. In the late 80s, Mrs. Brock acquired another home on the bluff above the yacht club.
She is survived by her sons, Ted, of San Gabriel, Los Angeles County; Charles W. Brock III, of Nevada City; Jim, of Menlo Park; and Tom, of Oakland; daughter, Betsy Brock of Petaluma; and eight grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no formal services.
The family has suggested that any memorial contributions be made to Amnesty International. A full obituary will run in next week’s Light.
