Ex-Partner in Florist Firm Dies

Archibald Burns, 65, a former partner in the Burns Florists of San Rafael, died yesterday of a heart attack while working in the yard of his Kentfield home.

Burns became a partner in the flower business with his late mother and his brother, F. C. Burns, in 1908 after his father died.

However, he left the flower business in 1911 to study art, a talent he pursued until his death.

Deputy Coroner Harry M. Williams, who was called in the unexpected death, said Burns was working in the yard of a house he owns next door to his home at 3 Emlin drive, Kentfield, when he collapsed.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Burns of Kentfield, besides his brother.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
