The colorful old-time Larkspur resident was elected mayor in 1907 after the city was incorporated. Besides owning a wholesale coffee and spice business in San Francisco, Craig maintained his interests in the city government and politics. He was born in Watsonville 87 years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Keaton's Mortuary, San Rafael with burial at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
He is survived by his two sons Beverly Craig of San Francisco and Lansing F. Craig of Texas. Craig's father is the late Superior Court Judge Craig of San Francisco. He is the husband of the late Hattie Craig of Larkspur.
A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that he was the brother of the late Judson L. Craig of Stockton.
