ALFRED P. CROKER
Alfred P. Croker, a Marin county resident since 1913, died today at his home in Fairfax. He was 80.
A native of England, Croker settled in San Anselmo where he engaged in the news distribution business in the “horse and buggy” days. He then moved to Fairfax to open an ice cream and candy store. Following that he operated a grocery store and then a liquor store in Fairfax.
He is survived by his widow, Florence W. Croker; three sons, William John, Henry Alfred and Arthur L. Croker, and two daughters, Mrs. Vera Cooper and Mrs. Lilly M. Cordone.
Other survivors include brothers Frederick and Edward A. Croker and one sister, Mrs. Emily Phelps.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Chapel of Guy W. Jenness, San Anselmo. Interment will be private.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: his widow’s middle initial is given as “E”; he was the grandfather of Barbara F. and Betty Ann Croker, Arthur R. Cooper and Eugene Cordone.
The CA Death Index gives his birth date as February 11, 1868 and middle name of Phillip.
