ROBERT R. CURREY
A memorial Mass will be celebrated tomorrow for former San Rafael resident Robert R. "Bob" Currey of Randle, Wash.
Mr. Currey died Saturday at his home after a long illness. He was 73.
Mr. Currey lived in San Rafael for 20 years while he worked as a retail clerk for Safeway Stores. He also served as a commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America and president of the Little League. Mr. Currey moved to Randle in 1972.
Mr. Currey was best known for his sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed daily hikes near his home.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Currey of Randle; a son, George Currey of Kent, Wash.; three daughters, Judy Reppert of Placerville, Bonnie Nelson of Randle and Pat Henderson of San Rafael; a brother, Gene Currey of Walla Walla; a sister, Lucile Ryan of San Rafael; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morton, Wash.
