County Official Mourns Brother
Tragedy came to the home of M. C. Doody last Friday night that cast a gloom over the household and brought expressions of the deepest sympathy for the County Sealer of Weights and Measures in the sudden death of his brother, Thomas Nelson Doody.
Three days previously, the brothers met for the first time in more that a score of years. The deceased came down from Montreal, Canada, to visit his relatives, others of whom are on the Pacific Coast, and had planned a sojourn of some time. He had spent the evening with friends downtown and returned to his brother's home. As he reached the bottom of the steps which led up to the door he suddenly fell, expiring at once from a heart affliction.
The deceased was 71 years of age and apparently in the best of health. He held a high position with a railroad system at Montreal, occupying it for nearly 40 years.
Arrangements were made immediately by the F. E. Sawyer Company for shipment of the remainsto Montreal, where funeral services will be held.
The deceased is survived by his brother here, M. C. Doody, two other brothers, Dennis and Peter, and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Maguire.
