"Chic" Doody Dies Suddenly From Heart Attack
Succumbing to an attack of heart trouble early Monday morning, Michael C. Doody, an old time resident of this county and who held the position of Sealer of Weights and Measures in this county, died at the Cottage Hospital.
Doody was a native of Canada and 71 years old. For fifty years he had been a resident of Marin county and was one of the first conductors of the old narrow gauge North Coast Railroad. He later became an agent and official.
He held the county position since it was created six years ago.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Sawyers Company parlors under auspices of Marin Lodge No. 191, F. and A.M., of which he was a member.
He [is] survived by three sons and a daughter.
Michael Chic Doody was the husband of the late Caroline Doody and loving father of Thomas C., Maurice C., John A., and Edwin Doody and Mrs. B. Norton, a native of Canada.
Following the services the body was taken to Berkeley for cremation.
