Loretta Grady was an integral part of her family's Lucas Valley dairy farm. She retired from the Lucas Valley Dairy in 1963 after 30 years, when the dairy was sold.
Mrs. Grady, 89, of San Rafael, died Feb. 10.
A native of San Rafael, she graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1932 and worked for the San Rafael Ice Co.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Raphael's Parish.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Grady, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael's Church in San Rafael. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and a rosary will be said at 10:30.
Burial will be at Mount Olivet.

Daughter of the late Frank P. and Rose Grady. Sister of Robert B. Grady and the late Margaret Merkley, Frances Johnson and Edward Grady. Aunt of Keith Grady and Brian Grady of San Rafael, Sheila Rumsey of South Carolina, Carson Merkley of Oregon, Micahel (sic) Merkley of Dixon, Molly Watters of Wallace, Joan Thurman of Sacramento, Kevin Johnson of Petaluma, Bill Grady of Cazadero and Dick Grady of Novato and the late Conrad "Bud" Johnson. A native of San Rafael, age 89.
Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church, San Rafael for the celebration of her funeral Mass.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Rosary services will be recited at 10:30 a.m. led by Loretta's family at St. Raphael's Church prior to Mass. Visitation at St. Raphael's Church from 10 a.m.
