Rudolph J. Horick

Long-time dairyman Rudolph J. Horick died Monday at his ranch near Inverness at the age of 62.

Born in Ohio, he came to California at the age of 14 and operated a ranch in the community of Point Reyes Station the past 29 years.

Mr. Horick was a member of the Tomales Bay Sportsmen Association and the California Cattlemen’s Association.

He is survived by his wife, Vivien Hall Horick of Point Reyes Station; two sons, Roger Horick of Petaluma and Todd Horick of Point Reyes Station; three daughters, Barbara Munkres of Petaluma, Carol Horick of Point Reyes Station, and Betty Rankin of San Jose; three sisters, Betty Putnam of North Hollywood, Eleanor Boggs of Sepulveda and Mildred Minzey of Washington state; two brothers, John Horick of Azusa and Joseph Horick of Point Reyes Station; and four grandchildren. Mr. Horick was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Horick.

Friends are invited to meet Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Garden Chapel of the Sorensen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart Church in Olema at 11 a.m. Thursday and recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Entombment will be at Olema Cemetery. The family prefers donations to the Sacred Heart Building Fund.

Reyes Station, Barbara Munkres of Petaluma and Betty Rankin of San Jose. Brother of Betty Putnam of North Hollywood, Eleanor Boggs of Sepulveda, Mildred Minzey of Washington State, John Horick of Azusa, Joseph Horick of Pt. Reyes Station and the late Robert Horick. Friends are invited to meet Thursday, July 13, 1980 at 10:00 AM in the Garden Chapel of the Sorensen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart Church, Olema, at 11:00 AM. Recitation of the Rosary Wednesday evening at 8:00 o’clock. Entombment Olema Cemetery. Those who prefer may make contributions to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund.
