San Anselmo Couple Returns From Funeral
Dr. and Mrs. Ilion T. Jones returned to their San Anselmo home Saturday night from Dallas and Corsicana, Texas, where they were summoned after the unexpected death on June 8 of Mrs. Jones' mother, Mrs. R. E. Prince. Dr. Jones is a faculty member of San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo.
Mrs. Prince would have celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday. She was a native of Corsicana. Her husband, who died in 1925, was a lawyer and served as speaker of the House in the 27th Legislature of Texas.
Mrs. Prince is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jones; a son, Robert J. Prince of Dallas; a sister, Annie Talley Hood of Wichita Falls, Tex.; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones learned the art of quilt making from her mother and has one of the largest collections of early quilt patterns in Marin County.
