ROCKWELL, Alan Wesson -- At the age of 82, Alan passed away due to heart complications on Thursday, July 12, 2001 in Marin General Hospital. He graduated from the St. Mark's School in 1936 and later from Harvard College in 1940. During World War II, Alan served as a Lieutenant in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters, receiving a Silver Star Medal for his heroism during a Japanese kamikaze attack. After a career in marketing and advertising, including Benton & Bowles in New York, he relocated to Tiburon, CA. He is survived by his two brothers, David and Stuart. No services.
