Battista Rossi Last Rites Set
Requiem High Mass for Battista Rossi, 81, retired San Rafael gardener who died at a local hospital yesterday after many years illness, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Saint Raphael's Church, San Rafael.
The cortege will form at 9:15 p.m. (sic) at Keaton's Mortuary, Fifth and E Street.
The Rosary will be recited at Keaton's 8 p.m. today. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
Rossi came to San Rafael 56 years ago from his birthplace near Milan. He lived with his wife Nena at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Stuart, in San Rafael.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Natalina Regalia of San Rafael, Mrs. Angelina Fredericks of San Francisco and Peter Rossi of San Rafael, and two sons, Ernest Rossi of South San Francisco and Louis Rossi of Berkeley, and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The California Death Index adds information: he was born November 20, 1879; his mother's maiden name was Bettini.
