LESLIE EDWIN WIDER
Leslie Edwin Wider of Novato, a longtime resident of Marin, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1986, at Novato Convalescent Hospital after a long illness. He was 71.
Mr. Wider worked as a building and maintenance supervisor for the Marin County Department of Public Works for 30 years.
He was a native of San Francisco who had lived in the Bay Area his entire life. He resided in Novato for the past 23 years.
He was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West in San Rafael, the American Legion in San Rafael, the Marin Retired Employees Association and S.I.R.S.
He was a highly skilled carpenter and electrician, and was know as an excellent cook.
His wife, Glenna Marie Wider, died Monday.
Mr. Wider is survived by his sister, Olive Confilio of San Francisco; two brothers, Fred Wider of Burlingame and Bill Wider of San Rafael; and four stepchildren.
Arrangements are private through the Neptune Society.
The family prefers that memorial donations be sent to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in San Francisco.
