John R. Baragan Succumbs
John R. (Bob) Baragan, a retired San Quentin Prison correctional officer, died yesterday in a local hospital after long illness. He was 84.
Baragan was a lifetime resident of California, born in San Francisco, and had lived 62 years in Marin County. His home was at 315 Paloma Avenue, San Rafael.
He served about 25 years at San Quentin.
His wife, Maud A., died in October, 1959. He is survived by a daughter and son, Mrs. W. L. Morgan, wife of the San Rafael city clerk, and Benjamin G. Clark of Richmond, and by one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon tomorrow.
A Death Notice in the same paper names the grandson: Ben Clark of Richmond.
