Mabel OíConnor (sic)
Mabel M. OíConnell, longtime Larkspur resident, died Wednesday in Marin General Hospital after an illness of about a month.
Mrs. OíConnell, who was 76, grew up in Marin and attended Tamalpais High School. She worked for many years for Pacific Telephone as an operator, retiring several years ago.
Her husband, Noel Byrne OíConnell, died last year.
Mrs. OíConnell was a member of the Young Ladies Institute in Larkspur.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas M. Shine of San Rafael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrickís Church in Larkspur. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at Keatonís Mortuary in San Rafael.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the aunt of Margaret Mary Wilson, and great-aunt of six great-nieces and nephews. She was a native of California.
CA Death Index: she was born Aug. 17, 1905; motherís maiden name was Colon; fatherís last name was Shine.
