C. L. BAYSINGER
Requiem mass for Charles L. Baysinger, 78, of Sutter Creek, Amador County, father of Lew A. Baysinger of San Rafael and Mrs. Patricia Larson of Mill Valley, will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday in Sutter Creek.
Baysinger died Monday in a Jackson hospital after a short illness.
A native of Hartford, Kan., he came to California in 1922. After three years in the job printing plant in the Richmond Independent, he became owner and publisher of the Crockett Sentinel from 1927 to1936.
Moving to Stockton, he became a partner in a printing firm. He stayed there until 1941, when he moved to the mountains for health reasons and took an office post with a lumber company. He retired in 1959.
Surviving are his wife, Anne of Sutter Creek; three sons, Charles B. Baysinger of Stockton, Clyde O. Baysinger of Richmond and Lew Baysinger; his daughter; two brothers, Arch S. Baysinger and Olin R. Baysinger, both of Stockton; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Stockton.
