BIKAKIS-SURI, Eleanor - Entered into rest February 14th after a long illness. A native of Price, Utah and a longtime resident of San Francisco where she was educated and worked as an underwriter for Transamerica, Aero Associates, Argonaut Insurance Co. and finally for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. She has resided in Novato, California since her retirement in 1995.
She was the loving daughter of the late George T. Bikakis and the late Mary Kochevar Bikakis, and the loving niece of the late John and Antonia Bikakis of San Jose. She is survived by her sister, Peggie Bikakis-Trimble of Novato, and her nieces Deborah L. Trimble and Kathleen M. Trimble; her aunts Frances Rodriguez and Helen Corpening; cousins Jeanette Bikakis-Reilly and Theodora Bikakis-Oteri; and numerous cousins as well as the many friends and associates she cultivated throughout her life.
In life she had been a member of Alpha Lamda Chi Sorority at City College of San Francisco, a championship bowler, and enjoyed music and plays. In retirement she enjoyed the activities at Senior Access and Margaret Todd Center in Novato. She was a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Friends are invited to visit at Keaton's Redwood Chapel, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato on Tuesday, Feb. 20th from 12 noon to 8:00 pm. A Trisagion will be held at 7:30 pm also at Keaton's. A funeral service will be held at the Greek Orthodox ChurchCemetery Chapel in Colma on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 9:30 am where she will be laid to rest with her parents. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 25 Bellum Blvd. #150, San Rafael, CA 94901.
