WALTER WARFIELD

Funeral was today for Walter Warfield of Ignacio, a seven-year resident of Marin.

Warfield died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 84.

He was born in San Francisco and was a veteran of World War I.

A retired electrician, Warfield last worked for the San Francisco firm of Straum and Smith. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 6 in San Francisco.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Warfield of Ignacio; two daughters, Mildred Walker of Sonoma and Alive Steven of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Carl Warfield and Henry Warfield, both of San Francisco, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A death notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Sandra Palazzi, Judy Martin, Gerald Dill and … (illegible) …great grandfather of Jessica Dill, Jeremiah Dill and Cherri Rita. Private services were held toady at the Redwood Chapel, Novato. Inurnment private.
