Oleta Dillon Dies At 77

Mrs. Oleta E. Dillon, a resident of San Rafael for 72 years, died yesterday at her home after a short illness. She was 77.

Mrs. Dillon was a native of Grass Valley. She lived at 10 Antoinette avenue with her husband, James B. Dillon, who is custodian of the Painters’ Union Hall.

Mrs. Dillon was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Larkspur. Active in church affairs, she was prayer chairman of the Missionary Group.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Paul Shields Dillon and Alvin R. Dillon, both of San Louis Obispo; a sister, Mrs. Cora Otton of San Rafael, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Interment will be at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the sister of the late Amy W. Williams, Grace Conklin and Bert Shields, and grandmother of Oleta Joan, Coleen, Marlene, Susann and Paul James Dillon.
