Geo Emmons, Realty Law Expert, Father of Mrs. Ritter Dies
George E. Emmons, 87, retired Washington D. C. Attorney and expert on real estate law, died early yesterday in Kentfield where he had made his home for the past few years with a daughter, Mrs. Edith Ritter.
Emmons was a Mason and a member of Almas Temple of the Shrine of Washington. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ritter, Mrs. Mary C. Buck of Santa Cruz, and a son, Frank W. Emmons of Havana, Cuba.
A life member of the Shrine and B. P. O. Elks, Emmons had been a member of the Masonic fraternity for 65 years. One of the possessions in which he took greatest pride was the Fidelity Medal which is worn by the oldest living member of the order and which will now be returned to the Grand Lodge for award to the next in the line. Emmons held membership in Benjamin B. French Lodge No. 15 F. & A. M.
Funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from the chapel of Guy W. Jenness & Co., San Anselmo, the Masonic ritual being performed by Marin Lodge No. 191, F. & A. M. Inurnment will be in Olivet Memorial Park.
