Mrs. Jane Verdenal Suffers Relapse In Flu Attack, Dies
Apparently recuperating from a mild attack of influenza, Mrs. Jane E. Verdenal, 84, resident of San Rafael for the past 37 years, died unexpectedly Saturday at her residence. Mrs. Verdenal, a native of New York, came to San Francisco via Panama as a girl of 12 years.
She was the widow of the late John M. Verdenal, prominent San Francisco attorney, who died in 1916. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Thomas P. Boyd of San Rafael; one brother, Frank Lawler of Oakland; and four grandchildren, Thomas P. and Elizabeth Boyd of San Rafael and Mrs. John D. McDonald and Mrs. Frank Nibley of San Francisco. She was a devoted member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was also the mother of the late John M. Verdenal and Cora F. Verdenal.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at her late residence, followed by private interment.
