Mrs. Mary Fleet, 77, Pioneer Resident, Dies at San Anselmo
Mrs. Mary Fleet, 77, passed away Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anita Stopper of San Anselmo. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the chapel of Christ Church in Sausalito, and interment was at Mt. Olivet.
Mrs. Fleet was a native of England, and came to this country 50 years ago, with her husband and small son, to make her home in America. They settled in Sausalito where Mrs. Fleet resided for 40 years.
Death called after an illness of but three weeks, and was a great shock to the many devoted friends and relatives of the family.
The surviving members of the family are Mrs. Anita Stopper and Mrs. Lillian Seaman of San Anselmo; Walter, Albert and Geo. Stopper and Mrs. Violet Blessing.
Mrs. Fleet was one of those pioneers of California who came around Cape Horn to California
