Mrs. E. B. McNear Laid To Rest in Family Plot at Cypress Hill
Mrs. Lucretia Proctor McNear, wife of E. B. McNear, who passed away Saturday morning at her home, was laid to rest Monday afternoon in the family plot in Cypress Hill Cemetery, Petaluma.
Funeral service was held at the First Presbyterian Church, San Rafael, at 2 o’ clock, with Dr. Lynn White, Dr. John J. Canoles and Dr. Aaron Undersma officiating, and by direction of the Keaton Mortuary.
The services were attended by large number of relatives and friends, as Mrs. McNear was well known throughout the bay region where for many years she had been active in club and social affairs. Mrs. McNear’s passing followed a period of serious illness extending several months. When death grew near, members of the family were summoned and were at the home when the end came.
Besides the husband, E. B. McNear, prominently identified in banking circles and the dairy industry, deceased leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lucretia McNear Thomas, Kentfield; sons Erskine B. and Miller McNear.
