Raymond L. Foster

A graveside service for Raymond L. Foster, a former Novato resident, was held today in Petaluma.

Foster, 81, died Saturday at a Santa Rosa convalescent hospital after a long illness.

He was born and reared on a farm in Kansas and moved to San Francisco as a young man. Foster had worked there many years as an auto mechanic.

After World War II, Foster began work at Hamilton Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic. He retired in 1961.

Foster and his wife, Bertha J. Foster, moved to Rohnert Park from Novato after his retirement.

He is also survived by two daughters, Lois M. Floyd of Rohnert Park and Jean Denning of Fairfax.

Burial was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Church of the Oaks, Cotati.
