Mrs. Lillian Knox
Services are being held this afternoon in San Anselmo for Mrs. Lillian Davies Knox, well known Marin club woman, wife of James B. Knox, who passed away late Monday afternoon in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks.
A prominent member of the Tamalpais Centre Women’s Club, Mrs. Knox was also active in the Red Hill PTA, the Red Cross, Grape Festival, and for the past two years held t he post of the chairman of the Garden Section of the Tamalpais Club. In addition she was affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star.
A native of San Francisco, Mrs. Knox has made her home in San Anselmo for the past 15 years. She is survived by her husband, local insurance manager, a daughter, Elizabeth Knox, and two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Germaine and Mrs. Evelyn Bruns, of Burlingame.
