JOHN D. JOYCE

John D. Joyce, former San Rafael resident who lived in Kelsyville, Lake County, for the past nine years, died Saturday in a Marin County hospital after a long illness. He was 65.

Joyce was a native of Kansas who moved to California in 1941. He moved to Washington in 1951, but returned to this state in 1957. He was a retired operator for the Municipal Railroad in San Francisco.

Joyce is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fern Joyce of Kelsyville, brothers Charles and Ralph Joyce of Leavenworth, Kansas, and three sisters, also of Leavenworth.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church, San Rafael. Interment will be at Kelsyville Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper says that he was the brother of Charles, Ralph, Clara, Marie and Maud Joyce.
