RICHARD MACK

Richard A. Mack Sr., a retired auto dealer and four-year Marin resident, died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital following a long illness.

Mack, 87, was born in Iowa and grew up in California. He had been in the state for 74 years and at t he time of his death resided at 7 Arroyo Avenue, San Anselmo.

Before coming to Marin, he lived in Oakhurst, Madera County, and in Fowler, Fresno County, where he had his auto dealership for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Rae of San Anselmo; five sons (sic), Robert Mack of Southern California, Richard A. Mack Jr. of Sacramento, William E. Mack of Culver City, Los Angeles County, and Helen J. Howell and Gladys E. Davis, both of Kingsburg, Fresno County; three sisters, Bessie Evans of Mill Valley, Millie Mack of Fresno and Hazel Poor of Fresno; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Private funeral was held today.
