Lynn A. Southerland
Passed away September 26th, 2001 at home in Sonoma. Born in Yakima, Washington. A resident of Sonoma for 25 years. Lynn retired from Crocker bank/Wells Fargo in 1987 after 28 years. Lynn worked for 5 1/2 years for Sonoma Valley Bank, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sonoma. A Member of Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, Founding member of Bosom Buddies, A volunteer for Reach to Recovery, Sonoma Hospital Foundation, Ox Roast, American Cancer Society. Lynn was an inspiration and cherished friend to many people especially her Bosom Buddies.
Survived by her husband Martin P. Southerland, of Sonoma, Step-daughter Lori Larsen and Janine Gomez, three grandchildren Tracey and Trevor Larsen and Todd Gomez, Brothers Harry and his wife Ramona, Al and his wife Nancy and Jim Hendricks. Sisters Margaret Unquecht and Peggy and her husband Hank Freitas, also eight nieces and nephews and 10 grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 542 first St., East, Sonoma at 12:30 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2001. Officiating will be Reverend Dan Boling, Pastor.
