Man Meets Death On N. W. P. Bridge
John Gasper, aged about 40 years, was instantly killed early last Saturday morning by a Northwestern Pacific train on the Greenbrae bridge.
From papers found on the remains, it was learned by Coroner F. E. Sawyer that Gasper, on May 26th of this year, was granted an indefinite term of probation after his conviction on a criminal charge.
The man was given something to eat Friday night at Skelly’s ark. He said then that he would pay for it but that he had been arrested the night before in a Main County town and that his money, $8, had been taken away from him and not returned.
