Mass of the Resurrection for Rita Hanlon, a long-time resident of San Rafael, was celebrated today at Nazareth House, Terra Linda.
Mrs. Hanlon, a resident of Nazareth House, died at the retirement home Saturday after a short illness. She was 81.
A native of San Francisco, she moved to San Rafael 41 years ago with her late husband, Daniel. He operated a laundry in San Francisco.
Mrs. Hanlon lived at several locations in San Rafael during the 41 years.
She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Raphaelís Church in San Rafael and several hard of hearing groups.
She is survived by five grandchildren.
Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
The family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Nazareth House, 245 Nova Albion Way, Terra Linda.
Death Notice in the same paper adds information:
Rita Hanlon was the mother of the late Frank Daniel and Walter Hanlon; sister of of the late Mrs. Florence Sherry; grandmother of Donald, Daniel, Carol, Joan and Catherine Hanlon; mother-in-law of Mrs. Marion D. Hanlon; aunt of four nieces and one nephew.
