Alfred Girot

Alfred V. Girot, longtime San Francisco furrier and father of Alfred V. Girot Jr. of Kentfield and George F. Girot of Greenbrae, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital. He was 86.

Girot, a native of San Francisco, was owner of Schneider Brothers and was associated with the furrier business for 50 years.

He also is survived by two sisters, Frances L. Girot and Evelyn G. Marr; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Gantner-Felder-Kenney Chapel, San Francisco. Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Church, San Francisco. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
