D. NORMAN LAMB, Novato construction boss, 54

Funeral for D. Norman Lamb of Novato, a construction superintendent in San Francisco, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Novato.

Lamb, 54, died Saturday at a hospital in Boise, Idaho, where he was being treated following a traffic accident a few weeks ago. He had been driving through that area on his way to a vacation home in Montana.

A native of South Dakota, he had lived in California and Novato since 1961. He worked 13 years as construction superintendent for Johnson Service Co. in San Francisco and the then last three years had held the same post with Powers Regulator Co. in South San Francisco.

He was an Army veteran. He belonged to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Pipefitters Union Local No. 38 of San Francisco.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice B. Lamb of Novato; two sons, Thomas N. Lamb of Jamul, near San Diego, and Bruce D. Lamb of Novato; a daughter, Dianne Aldrich of Santa Ana; two brothers, retired Air Force Col. Thomas E. Lamb of Irmo, S.C. and Alan Lamb of Denver, and one granddaughter.

A sister, Beverly Kommers, preceded him in death.

Burial will be at Bahia Valley Memorial Park in Novato. The family has asked that contributions go to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
