Elvera A. Hall of San Rafael, widow of the late George W. Hall Sr., long-time Marin County assessor, died yesterday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 74.
Like her late husband, she was active for many years in Marin social and fraternal organizations. She was a member of Woodwardia Circle No. 633, Neighbors of Woodcraft; Degree of Pocahontas, Gennessee Council; Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies' Auxiliary No. 72, the Druids and other organizations.
Born in Michigan, Mrs. Hall moved to San Francisco in 1918, and came to Marin County in 1926, when she and her husband were married. He died last Oct. 17.
She is survived by one son, George W. Hall Jr. of Novato; a sister, Esther McClelland of San Rafael; a brother, Edwin Bergland of Colma, and two grandchildren.
Mass of Resurrection will becelebrated at 10 a.m. thursday in St. Raphael's Church, followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow in Keaton's Chapel, San Rafael.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 72 will conduct memorial services in Keaton's Chapel at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, and the Woodwardia Circle No. 633, Neighbors of Woodcraft will conduct a service in the same chapel at 8:15 tomorrow.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the grandmother of Patricia and Michael Hall.
