ANNA C. GONSALVES
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna C. Gonsalves of Petaluma, a former Tomales resident, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.
Mrs. Gonsalves died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1987 at Petaluma Valley Hospital after being ill since January. She was 86.
She was born in Hamilton, Bermuda, and moved to Tomales with her family as a 2-year-old. She lived there until her marriage to William A. Gonsalves. He died previously.
They owned and operated a dairy ranch near Petaluma for many years. Mrs. Gonsalves also was a homemaker and was very active in several organization. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Catholic Ladies Aid Society, Petaluma Holy Ghost Society and SPRSI, a Portuguese organization.
She is survived by a son, Willliam A. Gonsalves of Petaluma; a daughter, Evelyn McDonald of Petaluma; three sisters, Mary Moscardini of Santa Rosa, Virginia Moreda and Rose Azevedo, both of Petaluma; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma.
The family prefers that contributions be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 415 A St., Petaluma, 94952.
