Robert Charles Young, 58, a certified public accountant, died of a heart attack last night at his Marinwood home while listening to the Giant-Dodger baseball game.

Asst. Coroner William Bradley said Young was sitting in the kitchen of the home at 2830 Heatherstone Drive shortly after 8 p.m. when stricken.

Young resided with his two daughters, Kathy, 14, and Diana, 18. He was divorced.

The girls’ mother, Mrs. Barbara Hitt of Pollack Pines, El Dorado County, was reported on her way to Marin today to take care of the children.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home about 8:30 p.m., the victim was lying in the kitchen with bruises around the nose and left eye. Assistant Coroner Bradley said the rimless glasses he wore shattered in the fall and caused the injuries.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
