Roderick O’Malley, a former lieutenant with the toll department of the Golden Gate Bridge District, died yesterday in a local hospital after a brief illness.
O’Malley, who retired July 1, made his home at 12 Bungalow Avenue in San Anselmo. He was 64.
A native of San Francisco, he had lived in Marin County for the last 24 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. O’Malley, two daughters, Maureen T. Reis of Novato and Sheila A. Ryssemus of San Francisco, and two sisters, Charlotte Stewart of San Francisco and Edna Davis of Daly City.
Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anselm’s Church, San Anselmo. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper states that Sheila A. Ryssemus was of San Rafael; he was the grandfather of Kathleen, Coleen, Daniel and Kevin Reis, and Joelle and Donielle Ryssemus; father-in-law of John Reis and Johannes Ryssemus
