KEANE, Patricia G. (Connor) -- Born (6-21-18) and raised in San Francisco; passed away peacefully on September 26 at age 83. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Frank J. 'Mount' Keane and her sister, Eleanor Connor Hingsbergen; survived by daughters Pamela Keane Engel (Dan), San Rafael, and Sally Keane (Joel Francinsa), Oakland, and her sister, Virginia Connor Sullivan, Sunnyvale, and many close relatives and good friends. Graduate of St Paul's Grammar and High (Class of '36) Schools. Long-time employee of Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in San Francisco. She was PT&T's 'Voice with the Smile' and worked at the opening session of the United Nations. WWII Red Cross volunteer and member of 'The Wrong Numbers', a traveling USO singing group. Forty-seven year resident of San Mateo. Member of St. Gregory's and St. Mark's parishes; seventeen year staff member of Notre Dame High School, Belmont. Dedicated emergency room volunteer at Chope Hospital. Member of the 'Girls Club' (est. 1926), the Olympic Club and the Napili Kai Beach Club. A terrific and loyal mother, sister, aunt and friend. An accomplished cook, adventurer, athlete and singer. She will be greatly missed. Interment private. Memorial mass and gathering for family and friends, October 6, 11 a.m, at St. Mark's Church, 325 Marine View Ave., Belmont 94002 (650)-591-5937). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patty's name to St. Paul's High School Alumnae Fund, 221 Valley Street, San Francisco, 94131 or San Mateo County Health Center Foundation (Emergency Room), 222 W. 39th Avenue, San Mateo, 94403.
