PAGE, Mary Galloway -- In Carmel, peacefully, at age 90. Born and raised in San Rafael, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Winifred MacI Menzies, and the sister of the late John and Robert Menzies. She was a third-generation Californian. In 1930 she married Alan J. Galloway, a geologist with Shell Oil Co., and together they lived in San Francisco, London, Tulsa, OK, St. Louis, MO, Houston, TX, and Greenwich, CT. They returned to San Francisco in 1958, and divided their time between the city and the weekend retreat they built on their ranch on Bolinas Lagoon, now Audubon Canyon Ranch. In 1975, they moved to Carmel Valley, where her husband died in 1978. In 1982, she married John R. Page of San Francisco, and they lived in San Francisco and Carmel. He died in 1989. She was the mother of Jean G. Crocker, Katherine G. Ness, and the late Anne Galloway. She also leaves her sons-in-law, William H. Crocker and John A. James; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and the family of John Page. Mary Page loved the California landscape. She rode on horseback over all the ranches in West Marin in her youth. In later years she hiked, picnicked, and gardened in the Monterey area as well as Marin. She was devoted to her family, step-family and a wide range of friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 10th, at 2pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1123 Court St. in San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monterey Symphony or the Marin Agricultural Land Trust would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements by The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove (831)-375-4191
