Wadey G.F. Lackey "Wade"
Passed away January 25, 2002 in Lakeport, California at the age of 76. Wade was born, raised, and educated in Holland, Arkansas, and moved to Northern California in 1946. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the Service, he joined the Seabee Reserves for 20 plus years and then retired. After his retirement, Wade volunteered to train U.S. Navy Sea Cadets for many years. He was involved in the Northern California Ford F100 Elite Truck Club, Golden Gate Chapter. Wade also volunteered at the Petaluma Speedway, push starting sprint cars.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia J. Lackey and his brother Dwight Lackey. Wade is survived by his daughter Caron Anne and husband David Allingham; son Dennis and wife Gayle Lackey; daughter Deborah and husband Lee Hamann; brother Eugene and wife Bernice Lackey; sister Juanita and husband Herbert Jones; sister-in-law Nila Faye Lackey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Private Services have been held. Arrangements under the direction of PLEASANT HILLS MEMORIAL PARK & MORTUARY, SEBASTOPOL (707) 823-5042.
