Felicitas (Felice) Joanne Billings
Passed away following a brief illness on February 2, 2002, in Greenbrae. Born in San Francisco on May 3, 1914, Felice was a graduate of Commerce High School. In 1936 she married Haskell “Josh” Billings and they moved to Marin in 1951. Felice was an avid golfer and played twice a week until she was 80 years old. She was a past member of the Olympic Club, the Meadow Club and Peacock Gap. She also loved playing bridge and dominoes with her friends until her death. Beloved mother of Judy Campbell of Atherton, Linda Waite of Carmichael and loving grandmother of Scott Campbell of Los Angeles, Jamie Oechsel of Kentfield, Karen Black of Carmichael, Sean Campbell of Milton, Massachusetts and Leslie Ragsdale of Carmichael. She will be fondly remembered as “Gigi” by her great-grandchildren Trevor, Kelly and Megan Oechsel, Ines, Colin, Lucas and Laura Campbell, Jeffrey and Alision Grandin and David and Jennifer Black. Also survived by niece Joan Sargen, nephews Fred Gellert, Herb and Steve Schreiber. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating her life at Marin Lutheran Church, 649 Meadowsweet Drive in Corte Madera on February 9th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
