Gregory E. McConnell
Of San Anselmo passed away July 24, 2002 at Marin General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 76 years old. He served in the South Pacific during WWII on the Navy's USS Mobjack. Mr. McConnell was co-owner of the 3 Jack & Greg's Service Stations in Marin from 1956-1985. He was a founder of the Marin County Service Station Owner's Association and served as its first president. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, traveling and surfing the net. He is survived by his wife, Sherrill of San Anselmo and son John of Sausalito. His Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 7th at the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marin General Hospital Chaplaincy Program or to a charity of choice.
