Don R. Millar
Passed away peacefully on April 12, 2002 in his Fairfax home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Millie; son Gary Millar, daughter-in-law Julie Steier, granddaughter Sarah Jo; daughter Linda Millar, grandchildren Billy, Niki and Dylan; daughter Donna Thomas, son-in-law Peter, granddaughters Tanya and Suzanne; daughter Sandra Howard, son-in-law Dan, and granddaughters Alicia, Molly and Cassandra; son John Millar, daughter-in-law Cindy Wasserman, and grandson Taylor; and son Tom Millar, daughter-in-law Liz, granddaughters Caitlin and Alissa. He is also survived by brothers Ken, and Allan, sister Lois Carr and their families. Don was born October 12, 1928, in Oakland, California. He was a graduate of University of California at Berkeley, and was a practicing architect for 45 years. With his love of life and the outdoors he measured the seasons with Millie in his home of 47 years and on frequent visits to the Sierra and seashore. His sense of community touched the lives of many friends and a large extended family. There will be a celebration of his life Sunday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Deer Park Villa, Fairfax. Donations in his name may be made to the Drake High School Scholarship Foundation, 1327 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., San Anselmo, CA 94960.
