Norma Schiechl-Perry

A long time resident of Ross passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. Norma was a San Francisco native, who graduated from Balboa High School. She spent most of her working years at Burgermister Brewing Co., where she loved being a telephone operator. Norma often said, "I'd still be answering the phone if Burgermister was still in business." She had a true love of people and animals. Norma had a winning smile and an infectious twinkle in her eye, when she was seen walking her beloved schnauzer, Maggie. Because of her love of animals, Norma spent many hours volunteering at the Marin Humane Society Thrift Shop. Norma and her beloved long time companion, Gordon Perry, were recently married at a lovely candlelight ceremony on February 17, with Father Healy of Saint Anselm Catholic Church presiding.

Norma is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Perry; her son, Scott and daughter-in-law, Judy of Fairmont, California; her grandchildren, James of Tracy, California, Julie Kaiser and her husband, Scott of Milpitas, California; and her beloved sister, Marguerite Jordan of San Anselmo.

Friends and family are invited to attend Rosary Services on Friday, February 22, 2002 at 7:30 PM at Mount Tamalpais Mortuary, 2500 5th Avenue, San Rafael and a Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 10:00 AM at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Shady Lane and Bolinas Avenue in Ross, with Interment at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her honor to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Drive, Corte Madera, CA 94925.

Funeral arrangements provided by MOUNT TAMALPAIS MORTUARY & CEMETERY, 2500 5th Avenue, San Rafael, CA, 415-459-2500.
