Muriel C. Carniglia
A memorial service for Muriel C. Carniglia of San Rafael will be held at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross at 2 p.m. Sept. 17. Mrs. Carniglia, 90, died Thursday at Marin General Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Muriel C. Skinner in Point Reyes and lived in the Bay Area all her life. After marrying, she and her husband made their home in San Francisco, Burlingame, Walnut Creek before returning to San Rafael in the early 1970s. Since 1976 she has lived at The Aldersly, a Danish retirement home in San Rafael.
Mrs. Carniglia was buried in San Rafaelís Mount Tamalpais Cemetery next to her husband, the late Harold C. Carniglia. He died in 1975.
She is survived by a son, Stephen C. Carniglia of Danville, Contra Costa County; and five grandchildren. Two other sons preceded her in death.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael.
