Truck Driver Is Killed By Steam Train
John Linteo, 33, a truck driver for the California Packing Company at their Marin Meadows ranch at Ignacio, was instantly killed when a Northwestern Pacific steam train struck … (3 lines illegible) … Coroner J. Ray Keaton, Linteo seemed to be at fault, having driven parallel with the train for some distance. The train crew were surprised when Linteo turned at the crossing and tried to stop the train. The truck was turned over and damaged severely as a result of the impact, and Linteo’s body was badly mangled.
Linteo leaves a wife, residing in East Oakland.
