WILLIAM L. SOLOMON
At his request, no service will be held for William L. Solomon of Mill Valley.
Solomon died Wednesday in a local retirement center after a long illness. He was 93.
A native of England, Solomon first came to the United States at age 17. He has lived in both countries since then, spending his last six years in Mill Valley.
He was a member of the Old Pauline Club of England.
Solomon is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hait of Los Angeles and Jean Ives of Novato; a brother, Maj. T. H. Solomon of London, England, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family prefers contributions to Guide Dogs for the Blind of San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the father of the late Edmund Solomon, and grandfather of Lawrence and Les Hait and Casey and Carrie Ives; great-grandfather of Jasan Hait and Jed Kimball-Hait; father-in-law of James Hait and Perry Ives. A native of London, England; middle name, Lewis. Neptune Society to scatter ashes at sea.
