Sailorís Body Is Claimed
The body of John Thomas Huffman, a sailor, which was found floating off Point Bonita by Captain Peter Johnson of the U. S. Coast Guard Service on Monday, was claimed yesterday by the navy department.
The body was identified on Tuesday by a petty officer of the 12th naval district, who stated that Huffman was 21, the son of Catherine Huffman of 533 Carpenter street, Cudahy, Wisconsin, and was a fireman first class on the airplane carrier Saratoga. On the night of April 17, at 12:50 a.m. he was working on a shipís boat without a life belt which was against regulations, and fell overboard.
