JACK L. LEWIS
Jack L. Lewis, former owner of a heating service business in Terra Linda, died Sunday at his home in Novato after a long illness. He was 60.
Lewis was born in Yakima, Wash., and had lived in Marin County off and on for about 40 years. He lived in Las Vegas, Nev. for a time before recently moving back to Marin.
He operated Jack’s Heating Service in Novato for 12 years.
A plumber, he was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union locals 38 and 521.
He also was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and the Independent Order of Foresters.
During World War II her served with the Army.
Surviving are his wife, Frances of Novato; two sons, Jerry Lewis of Cotati and Phillip Lewis of Las Vegas; two daughters, Judy Kegg of Novato and Barbara Vanscoy of Caldwell, Ida.; his mother, Cornelia Lewis of Stockton, and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Novato. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o’clock at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Burial will be in Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
