Young Wife Dies Of Influenza
Two soldier boys now in France will receive a message of sorrow as the result of the death last Monday at Mrs. Albert Brittan Scott. The husband of a few months, Corporal Scott, and the brother, Robert Brittan, went to France several months ago, one from Camp Kearny and the other from Camp Lewis.
Corporal Scott and Miss Brittan were married in July of this year at an Diego, their wedding being one of four ceremonies performed at the same time. The young bride said goodby to her husband a week later and came to her home here in Highlands to await his return.
Death was due to influenza and followed the first phase of illness within three days. She leaves, besides her husband and brother in France, a brother and sister here. She was 21 years of age.
