A Mass of Christian burial was to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of St. Isabella in Terra Linda for Victor Vallerga of San Rafael.

Mr. Vallerga died Monday, July 6, 1987 at the Villa Marin infirmary. He was 88.

He was a native of Varazza, Italy, and had lived in Marin County since 1941. The Vallerga family previously owned the San Anselmo Garbage Disposal Company, which Mr. Vallerga sold upon his retirement in 1971. He was active during World War II, volunteering his time and business trucks for can and scrap metal drives. Mr. Vallerga also sold war bonds.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Vallerga of San Rafael; two daughters, Shirley Bonbright of Tiburon, and Ronni Brasseur of Novato; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be at Mount Olivet cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to a favorite charity.
